Adult Health Checks

Men's and Women's Health Checks

Adult health checks are general assessment of a client's health, and recommended to be completed every nine months.

The Mallee District Aboriginal Services health assessment is done by trained staff and is offered free of charge to clients in Mildura, Swan Hill and Kerang.

The assessment involves a general review of the client's health, such as their physical, psychological and social wellbeing.

It also recommends  preventative health care, education and other assistance the client requires to improve  their health and well being.

An adult health check includes:

  • Taking the client's medical history;
  • Physical examination;
  • Undertaking or arranging any required investigations;
  • Assessing the client using the information gained in the health check;
  • Documenting a simple strategy for the good health of the client (Care Plan).

Mallee District Aboriginal Services clinics can also provide health checks specific men's and women's health.
