The role:

The role of General Practitioner (GP) is to provide competent patient-centred care that addresses health needs and promotes wellness in the Mildura area. Such care is based on latest evidence and guidelines, and meets legislatory requirements, and includes diagnosis, treatment and ongoing monitoring

As a General Practitioner of an Aboriginal Health Service, you will be working within a multidisciplinary team including Nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers, and Community Workers. Your role is to ensure that all service delivery is culturally appropriate and welcoming to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of the Mildura Community; including the provision of case management for patients with complex and chronic conditions and assistance with the delivery and promotion of primary health care. You will be required to learn and exercise the use or the organisational computerised Clinical Information Systems (Communicare), and use Evidenced Based guidelines to underpin care.
