As part of the coronavirus (COVID-19) response in Victoria, the Victorian Government is shutting down non-essential activity to help stop the virus spreading.

We all need to do our bit because the better we contain the spread, the less people will become sick -- and our Elders and people with existing conditions are particularly vulnerable.
MDAS is still open
And we are looking after our mob in the Mallee -- although the arrangements for accessing some of services will change. We ask that you contact us by phone before attending any of our MDAS sites at this time.

You should not ignore your ongoing health needs at this time - our health services are available and here to help...we're just working a little differently.

Allied Health Services
Our MDAS Allied Health Services (including podiatry, physiotherapy, endcrinology, speech pathology and audiology) are still available.  Our temporary Allied Health Pathway is a little different for the time being, but call us to find out more.  Or check out this Allied Health Pathways document for our Mildura clinic.

Call us if you need us
We're here to help, but we'd like you to call us first before you visit

Coronvirus Symptoms include Fever, Sore Throat, Cough, Tiredness and Difficulty breathing but you can get more information here

Social Distancing
Stay home unless it's absolutely necessary, and keep your distance (two arms' lengths) from others when you are out

Hand Hygiene
20 seconds of hand with soap washing - often!

Our MDAS team is working hard to help the community deal with COVID-19. Our health, family services and support staff are working harder than ever. It's normal for all of us to feel anxious, but harsh words, on phone calls, on social media or at our medical facilities, are never OK.

MDAS takes confidentiality very seriously. Please do not ask our staff for information related to individual clients which is confidential. This will help us all in keeping our community safe. One of the most helpful things you can be at this time is kind and to look out for each other.
Things to do when you're bunkered down:
Being stuck at home can be tough at times.  But we all need to do our bit of all our mob – that means staying put to reduce everyone’s risk from COVID-19.  Click here for some fun things you can do while you're you're stuck at home.
Resources for kids:
And if you have little ones who are a bit worried about all this change, here's a great story from the Australian Childhool Foundation, that makes it all seem a bit less scary. Click here to read it.  Here's another great story resource for kids from Autism Little Learners, about other people wearing masks.  And this video is excellent.  Click here to watch.
